Li Xiaoxia won the Kuwait Open but failed to participate in Qatar.

    China and Japan were the last two teams standing in the men’s team event of the World Team Championships. Japan was brilliant in the competition but the defending champions were just strong. In the final round, Xu Xin, Ma Long and Zhang Jike all gave a strong performance which completed another successful defence of the championship title.

    The 2016 World Team Championships reached its final day today and the first final match was for  the women’s team event between China and Japan. The Chinese Team had a powerful head start but pressure kicked in the second match as Kasumi Ishikawa got good control in the match. For the last match, Mima Ito was good but Ding Ning had more advantage.

Jun Mizutani & Co. had the advantage but England fought back and caused them some problems. Mizutani even turned the match against Liam Pitchford round.

    There might be struggle along the way for the Chinese Women’s Team but the scores still lead them into the final stage of the World Team Championships. Today, Ding Ning, Li Xiaoxia and Zhu Yuling fought against the players from Chinese Taipei. They completed a complete sweep and will eventually advance into the finals against Japan.

    The battle in the World Team Championships has gotten much stronger as the end of the competition is getting nearer. For today, the men’s team had their first semifinal match with China against South Korea. Lee Sangsu and Jang Woojin tried their best in their matches but Chinese players Xu Xin, Zhang Jike and Ma Long were prepared for them.

    The Japanese Team was one of the highlights of the quarterfinal round of the women’s team event in the World Team Championships. That is after they were able to redeem themselves against Germany. On the other hand, it was a painful defeat for Singapore and Hong Kong. Singapore was defeated by North Korea while Chinese Taipei eliminated Hong Kong.

In the last round, Germany defeated Japan wherein Petrissa Solja won over Ai Fukuhara and Kasumi Ishikawa. After the match, the head coach was really happy with the result especially on her star player.

    Germany enjoys success in the women's event at the 2016 World Team Championships. The European champions emerged successfully over Japan in a close match. Despite the defeat, Japan got the first place in the group B, while the German team got the third place. China, Singapore and Hong Kong won the rest of the groups.
