    Omar Assar and Dina Meshref are the 2015 African Games' winners. Assar claimed the title after beating Nigeria's pride Quadri Aruna in the final. The women's final was an Egyptian duel. Meshref emerged successfully over her teammate Nadeen El-Dawlatly. Congo Brazzaville won the titles in the doubles events.

    Nigeria and Egypt emerged champions of the 2015 African Games' team events. In the men's event Segun Toriola led Nigeria to an epic victory over Egypt. In the women team's final Egypt suffered to beat Nigeria. Dina Meshref was the hero for Egyptian team in Congo Brazzaville.

    Semifinalists of the 2014 Africa Senior Championships have been defined and 2014 World Cup's sensation Aruna Quadri isn't one of them. He was eliminated in quarterfinals and Egypt already secured the gold medal in the men's event. In the women event Egypt, Camerún and Congo Brazzaville will fight for the title.

Just recently, this guy surprised the table tennis world after he created a series of upsets in the Men's World Cup, reaching the quarterfinals. This did not just lead him to new heights in his athletic career but also helped Nigeria make a mark in the table tennis community.

    Africa would be the latest beneficiary of the Chinese efforts in promoting table tennis much further. According to the Chinese Association and the ITTF, some legends will be traveling to Tunisia next month for a competition and a training camp. This event hopes to raise the level of awareness on table tennis on the region.

    The 2014 World Tour moved from Asia to Africa. The city of Lagos is hosting the 2014 Nigeria Open that kicked off yesterday. The tournamnet won't count on the highest world ranked players, but it doesn't mean that it won't be an exciting event. The favorite in the men event is Omar Assar, while Luxemburg's Ni Xialian has the first chance to win the title.

    Abdel-Kader Salifou of France and Maria Bykova of Russia emerged as champions of the 2013 Morocco Open, tournament part of Euro-Africa Circuit.  WIth this title, Salifou collected his third title in the Circuit, while it's the first one for the Russian lady. In the U21 event Cédric Nyutinck of Belgium and Sarah de Nutte of Luxemburg clinched the title.
