Kong Linghui Identified Threats To The Chinese Team

As the head coach of the Chinese Women’s Team, Kong Linghui identified who can be the threats to their domination in the women’s table tennis. Currently, he identified Japan, South Korea and Singapore to be their potential threats in the Team competition. In the Singles, they are Kasumi Ishikawa, Ai Fukuhara, and Feng Tianwei. 

Beijing News. The Chinese Team is the team to beat in the women’s division, but as the head coach, Kong Linghui is also preparing his team against potential threats. 

Yesterday, we reported how Kong Linghui assesses the current generation of the Chinese overseas players. For him, they can impact their members in the olympics but it would be hard to pose a threat to them. 

So who could be the threatening players for Kong Linghui? 

In the Team competition, the head coach identified Japan, Singapore and South Korea as their biggest threat. Recently, Japan’s Kasumi Ishikawa and Ai Fukuhara has been posting favourable results in international big competitions for the Japanese Team. 

As for the Singles, the names of Kasumi Ishikawa and Ai Fukuhara were also identified. Of course, Feng Tianwei is still in the list who has defeated Liu Shiwen and Zhu Yuling in last year’s competitions. 

According to the Chinese director of Table Tennis and Badminton, the Chinese Team will be having an adaptive training in Brazil as part of their preparations for the Olympic Games.
