Alberto Mino and Bruna Takahashi are the 2015 South American champions

Alberto Mino of Ecuador and Bruna Takahashi of Brazil were crowned champions at the 2015 South American Championships held in Argentina. The Ecuadorian player stood victorious over Brazil's Eric Jouti in the final, while Takahashi defeated Chile's Paulina Vega in the women's final. Argentina and Brazil got the titles in doubles. 

ULTM. Alberto Mino and Bruna Takahashi are the winners of the 2015 South American Championships held in Mendoza, Argentina. In the men's event Mino of Ecuador emerged successfully over Brazil's Eric Jouti by 11-9, 11-7, 7-11, 11-3, 8-11 and 11-9. In semifinals Mino defeated Massao Kohatsu by 11-7, 11-7, 11-5 and 12-10. Jouti reached the final after beating Argentina's Gaston Alto by 11-7, 11-7, 11-6, 7-11 and 11-6. 

In the women's competition 15-year-old Bruna Takahashi caused sensation. The Brazilian girl clinched the title after winning over Chile's Paulina Vega by 11-8, 11-8, 11-13, 12-10 and 11-9. In her previous match Takahashi defeated Colombia's Lady Ruano by 11-7, 11-4, 11-8 and 11-7. In the second semifinals Vega overcame Brazil's Leticia Nakada by 6-11, 11-9, 10-12, 12-10, 14-12, 11-13, 11-8. 

Previously, the U21 finals were held. Massao Kohatsu and Leticia Nakada emerged champions after beating their teammates Eric Jouti and Bruna Takahashi, respectively. 

Yesterday the winners of the doubles events were known. Ana Codina and Camila Arguello made the local crowd celebrate. The Argentinian pair overcame Brazil's Bruna Takahashi and Leticia Nakada by 11-7, 5-11, 11-8 and 11-9. In the men's finals Brazil's Massao Kohatsu and Eric Jouti defeated Argentina's Nicolas Galvano and Juan Daher by 9-11, 11-6, 11-5 and 11-5.
