Japan Aims For Gold In The World Cup (Video)

Ai Fukuhara and Kasumi Ishikawa are the players of the Japanese Team in this week’s Women’s World Cup. Before the competition started, their two players revealed their goals and that is to achieve a breakthrough in their personal records. Their highest achievement so far is the bronze. Ai Fukuhara won it in 2005 while Kasumi Ishikawa got hers last year. 

Sohu Sports. The Japanese Team is the hosting team in this week’s World Cup and they are counting on Ai Fukuhara and Kasumi Ishikawa for a breakthrough. 

The 2015 Women’s World Cup will commence today in Sendai, Japan. Aside from the Chinese players, the players of the hosting team are also anticipated for this competition, especially that recently they have posted great improvements. 

Before the competition started, Ai Fukuhara and Kasumi Ishikawa appeared in a press conference and expressed their thoughts on the competition. 

“I am excited to be playing in front of everyone. My best result in the World Cup so far was in 2005 when I got the third place. I hope that in this competition, I will have a bigger breakthrough.” Ai Fukuhara said. 

As for Kasumi Ishikawa, she revealed that her injury is not a big problem anymore and she also hopes to have a better performance this year. Kasumi Ishikawa got the third in Austria.
