Omar Assar and Dina Meshref won the 2015 Africa Championships

Egypt dominated the singles event at the 2015 Africa Championships. Omar Assar and Dina Meshref were crowned champions in the singles event after defeating Egypt's Ahmed Saleh and Congo Brazzaville's Han Xing.

Omar Assar and Dina Meshref were crowned champions of the 2015 Africa Championships. Assar overcame his team mates Ahmed Saleh by 11:6, 11:9, 14:12 and 11:8 in the finals and Mohamed El-Beiali by 13:11, 8:11, 11:5, 12:10 and 11:3. In the first semifinals Saleh defeated Khalid Assar by 5:11, 11:8, 7:11, 11:7, 11:4, 4:11 and 11:5. 

In the women competition Meshref caused a big upset in the final match. She emerged successfully over top seeded Congo Brazziville's Han Xing by 11:7, 3:11, 9:11, 11:9, 11:6 and 11:5. In semifinals Meshref beat Cameroon's Sarah Hanffou by 11:6, 11:9, 11:13, 11:9 and 11:8. In the first semifinals Han defeated Nadeen El-Dawlatly of Egypt by 11:6, 11:6, 12:10 and 11:8. 

In the previous competitions Egypt also dominated. Egypt defeated Nigeria by 3:2 in the men's and women's finals. Omar Ossar and Dina Meshref won the mixed doubles after beating Congo Brazzaville's Suraju Saka and Han Xing by 4:2 in the final match. 

But the men's and women's doubles events were dominated by Nigeria and Congo Brazzaville, respectively. Quadri Aruna and Makanjuola Kazeem won the title as they stood victorious over their team mates[ Ojo Onaolapo and Jide Ogidiolu by 4:2 in the final. In the final of the women's doubles Han Xing and Onyinyechi overcame the Egyptian pair of Dina Meshref and Nadeen El-Dawlatly by 4:2.
